We’ve discipled many men and women of God and seen them step into their pre-ordained destiny, walking in the gifts of the Spirit and the anointing of God.

Many walk in the gifts in healing, deliverance and miracles. There are things you can do to increase the anointing but also there are things you can do that can take away the anointing.

Increasing the anointing

Someone asked me what the difference is between anointing and gifts. I prayed about it and the Lord said “The gifts are given to us, and the anointing is what powers the gifts. Of course, the anointing is the “Holy Spirit”.

The stronger the anointing the more powerful the gifts”. If two people receive a gift of healing, one may walk in smaller healings, whilst the other, will see broken bones healed and cancer cured. We may even see creative miracles like a new kneecap growing back!

Although both have the gift of healing, but one has a stronger anointing. The Lord also gave me this analogy: “it’s like having a car, that’s the gift. But the anointing is the fuel. The more fuel you have the further you can go.

Reading the Bible

Sitting in the presence of God

Faith

Praise

Worship

Meditating on the word of God

Winning the souls of the kingdom

THE POWER OF GOD IS ALWAYS THERE

The power of God is always there He doesn’t increase in us as we done these things, but our connection with God improves which increases the anointing.

WHAT REMOVES THE ANOINTING

The gifts of God are irreversible as it says in - Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” In other words, God won’t take them back because they are gifts. However, we must be warned He can take back His Holy Spirit as it says in 1Samuel 16:14 “But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the LORD troubled him”. Of course, we have to do a lot for his Spirit to be taken from us completely.

Quenching the Spirit - I Thessalonians 5:19-22 says Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.

Do Not Grieve the Spirit - Ephesians 4:30-32 says And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Things that cause God to remove his spirit

Scoffing at prophecies
Not staying away from evil
Bitterness
Wrath

Anger
Clamour (a loud and confused noise, especially that of people shouting)
Evil speaking
Malice
Unforgiveness
